Basic Settings

• English Case Determines how English letters are converted, like all uppercase or lowercase Options:

  • All Uppercase: hello → HELLO
  • All Lowercase: HELLO → hello
  • Capitalize Words: hello world → Hello World
  • Capitalize Sentence: hello world → Hello world
  • Invert Case: HeLLo → hEllO

• Chinese to Pinyin When checked, converts Chinese to Pinyin, like 项目 → xiang mu

• Pinyin Separator Sets what to put between Pinyin syllables, like filling - gives xiang-mu Leave empty to use spaces xiang mu (Only takes effect when "Chinese to Pinyin" is checked)

Advanced Options (Can ignore, defaults work fine)

• Simplified/Traditional Conversion Convert between Simplified and Traditional Chinese Options:

  • To Simplified: 專案 → 专案
  • To Traditional: 专案 → 專案

• Number Conversion Type Determines how to convert between numbers and Chinese uppercase/lowercase numbers Options:

  • Number to Chinese Uppercase: 23 → 贰拾叁 (for finance)
  • Number to Chinese Lowercase: 23 → 二十三 (for general use)
  • Chinese Uppercase to Number: 贰拾叁 → 23
  • Chinese Lowercase to Number: 二十三 → 23
  • Chinese Uppercase to Lowercase: 贰拾叁 → 二十三
  • Chinese Lowercase to Uppercase: 二十三 → 贰拾叁

• Use Numerical Conversion Determines whether to include units like "十、百、千" when converting numbers to Chinese

  • Checked (default): 23 → 贰拾叁
  • Unchecked: 23 → 贰叁

  (Checked by default, only relevant when number conversion is selected)

• Ignore Extension Default checked, only changes file name, doesn't touch .jpg, .png suffixes If you really need to change extensions (like .PDF to .pdf), uncheck this

FAQ

❓ Why no change after checking "Chinese to Pinyin"?

1. Check if file name has Chinese characters This feature only converts Chinese characters, pure English/number file names won't change

2. Look at preview results May have already converted, but separator is space, not very obvious

Example: hello.txt has no Chinese, stays hello.txt after checking

❓ Number to Chinese conversion result is wrong?

Most common cause: "Use Numerical Conversion" toggle state is wrong

• Want 23 → 贰拾叁, ensure "Use Numerical Conversion" is checked
• Want 23 → 贰叁, uncheck "Use Numerical Conversion"

❓ Pinyin pronunciation different from expected?

Rule defaults to common pronunciation, polyphonic characters may be inaccurate For example 银行 might convert to yin hang instead of yin xing

Solution: After batch conversion, manually adjust individual files that need correction

❓ When multiple features are checked, what's the execution order?

In this order:

1. English case conversion
2. Chinese to Pinyin
3. Simplified/Traditional conversion
4. Number conversion

Example: 项目23 checking "Chinese to Pinyin" + "Number to Chinese Uppercase" → First convert Pinyin xiang mu 23 → Then convert number xiang mu 贰拾叁

Advanced Techniques

• ✅ Combine with "Find & Replace": First replace specific Chinese terms with agreed terminology (like "项目"→"Project"), then convert to Pinyin, generating more standardized English names
• ✅ Combine with "Clean Characters": Remove spaces/symbols before converting to Pinyin, avoiding extra separators in Pinyin
